I did the happy
dance this weekend along with my sister. Pretty much every Saturday we get
together in the morning and go grocery shopping for the week. I mentioned to
Jae earlier in the week about an estate sale that was right up our alley (theme
for sale was called “Just Beachy”). The sale started on Friday so we weren't
sure if we would have any luck by the time we arrived there (10am-ish on
Saturday) but to our surprise all the pieces with the exception of one that we
had our eyes on were still available. Jae and her husband are currently house
hunting and since they are newly married they don't have much furniture yet and
the one thing she wanted was a nice dinning room set. We found a buffet a few
months back at Home Goods but no luck with a table/chairs. That is until we
walked into the estate sale on Saturday and saw that the table we saw online
was as nice in person as it was online. We bargained with the people and scored
a great deal. Let's say she paid only 1/4 of a normal retail price.
Jae got this beautiful table, that now matches her buffet. All she needs is to pick up two captains chairs since they were sold before we arrived (Home Goods here we come!) and she has a dinning room set! We also scored a children's solid oak table with two chairs for $10! Figured when the day comes that they have kids we can paint that table to match the dinning room table chairs.
